I paid to study in IH Santa Monica for 9 weeks (January 3rd, 2011 to March 4th, 2011) and I just studied 4 weeks, because, suddenly, we found out the school was closed. They didn't pay my homestay and they didn't return my money for the 5 weeks that I won't have class. There are more students in the same situation, some that paid for 6 months and they didn't get any money back. Take care about IH Portland because IH Santa Monica and IH Portland have the same owner.
